Seed Description

Coronet Pinkeye Purple Hull Pea 62-65 days. Heirloom developed by University of Georgia as an improved pinkeye purple hull variety. The 6” purple pods grown on upright, compact plants. The green peas turn a cream color with light pink colored eyes and smooth seed coat if allowed to mature and harvested dry. Delicious, high yielding variety that can be boiled and eaten fresh, frozen, canned or dried. Has some tolerance to cowpea strains of southern bean and cucumber mosaic viruses.
